Role Overview:

Location: Cambridge-based, with regional site visits across East Anglia
*
Sector: Heavy Civils & Environmental – including drainage, flood defence, river and coastal works, and infrastructure improvements
*
Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent

Start Date: Competitive – immediate or negotiable
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing the commercial aspects of civil engineering projects from pre-contract to final account. You'll play a key role in cost planning, risk management, subcontractor procurement, valuations, and reporting, ensuring that financial objectives are consistently met.
Key Responsibilities:

Prepare cost forecasts, budgets, and financial reports

Manage interim applications and final accounts
*
Negotiate with clients and subcontractors
*
Provide commercial support to project teams
*
Ensure compliance with contract conditions and company procedures
*
Support the delivery of projects safely, on time, and within budget
About You:
*
Previous experience in a Quantity Surveying role within heavy civils or environmental works
*
Strong understanding of NEC contracts
*
Excellent analytical and communication skills
*
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
*
Full UK driving licence (due to regional travel)
