Contracts Manager

Danny Sullivan Group are currently looking for a Contracts Manager for a role that we have available with a Tier 1 contractor working on AMP8 framework for Southern Water.
 
As a key member of the senior operations team, you will manage multiple contracts, ensuring projects are executed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities:

Lead and manage the delivery of multiple wastewater treatment projects within the Southern Water framework.
Oversee project teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure adherence to programme, budget, and quality requirements.
Act as the primary point of contact with the client (Southern Water), fostering strong relationships and maintaining clear communication.
Ensure full compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards across all projects.
Review and approve project programmes, cost forecasts, and risk assessments.
Manage commercial performance, variations, and claims in collaboration with Quantity Surveyors.
Support pre-construction planning, design coordination, and procurement activities.
Monitor resource allocation and workforce planning to maximise efficiency and minimise risk.
Provide mentoring and leadership to Project Managers, Site Managers, and Engineers.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and innovation across the framework. 
 
Requirements

Proven experience as a Contracts Manager (or Senior Project Manager ready to step up) within civil engineering, ideally wastewater treatment or water sector frameworks.
Strong knowledge of wastewater treatment processes, MEICA integration, and civil engineering construction methods.
Experience working on AMP frameworks with UK water utilities (Southern Water experience highly desirable).
Demonstrable commercial awareness and understanding of NEC contracts.
Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Commitment to safety, quality, and sustainability.
Degree or HNC/HND in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel within the Southern Water region.
