About the role

As an Estimator, you will play a crucial role in the success of projects by taking responsibility for producing accurate and competitive cost plans and tenders. You will work closely with design, pre-construction and delivery teams to assess project requirements, scope works, and prepare detailed estimates in line with client expectations and commercial objectives. Your day-to-day will involve analysing drawings and specifications, liaising with subcontractors and suppliers for quotations, identifying value engineering opportunities, and ensuring all bids are commercially viable and aligned with programme requirements. You will also support the wider pre-construction function in securing new business by providing clear, detailed, and well-presented tender submissions.

Requirements

To be successful, you will have proven experience as an Estimator within the commercial fit-out or wider construction industry. You will possess strong technical knowledge of fit-out methods and materials, combined with excellent financial and analytical skills. A keen eye for detail, accuracy under pressure, and the ability to juggle multiple tenders are essential. Communication and negotiation skills will be vital as you liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients to produce competitive and profitable bids. Experience with estimating software and proficiency in Microsoft Excel are desirable, as is a relevant qualification in construction, quantity surveying or a related discipline. Most importantly, you will bring enthusiasm, commercial awareness, and the drive to contribute to a successful pre-construction team
