Senior Quantity Surveyor – Data Centres – Dusseldorf

Our client is a €2bn turnover, Tier:1 main contractor operating across the UK, Ireland & Europe. They undertake major, complex schemes with a particular emphasis on Data Centres, Pharmaceutical and Life Science projects.

Due to continued growth in the region of their Data Centre projects division, our client is now seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor.

Responsibilities

* Commercial Management

Take ownership of the full commercial lifecycle on a large-scale data centre retrofit, ensuring financial performance is maintained while meeting client requirements for speed, resilience, and security.

* Procurement & Contract Administration

Develop and manage procurement strategies for specialist packages (MEP, critical infrastructure, fit-out, and technology systems), drafting and administering subcontracts in line with main contractor standards.

* Cost Control & Reporting

Produce accurate cost plans, forecasts, and cash flow reports, providing commercial insight into high-value M&E services, fast-track construction, and phased retrofit delivery within a live operational environment.

* Change & Value Management

Lead the evaluation and negotiation of variations, change orders, and claims, identifying opportunities for value engineering and efficiencies specific to retrofit challenges such as sequencing, downtime minimisation, and system integration.

* Team & Stakeholder Collaboration

Mentor junior QS staff while working closely with project managers, engineers, and client representatives, ensuring commercial alignment with technical and operational priorities of a live data centre facility.

Requirements

Must have relevant degree level qualification or equivalent trades background

Must have 10+ years’ experience in a similar role on large scale construction projects (preferably Data Centres)

Must have EU Passport or RTW in Europe

€80,000-€90,000 + Full rotational Package
