The Role
Due to continued growth, our client is seeking an Assistant Estimator to join their established team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build their career in estimating while working on varied and high-quality refurbishment projects.

Key Responsibilities:

* Assisting in the preparation of accurate cost estimates for refurbishment and redecoration projects.

* Analysing tender documents, drawings, and specifications.

* Supporting senior estimators with take-offs, cost plans, and tender submissions.

* Liaising with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive quotations.

* Helping to prepare bills of quantities and schedules of work.

* Maintaining clear records of tender enquiries and progress.

* Supporting project teams with handover documentation and cost-related information.

About You:

* Some previous experience in construction or estimating (placement, internship, or junior role) is desirable.

* Strong numerical and analytical skills.

* Good attention to detail and organisational ability.

* Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel in particular).

* A proactive team player with good communication skills.

* Keen to develop a long-term career in estimating within the refurbishment and restoration sector.
