Role Overview

As Site Manager, you’ll lead the planning, delivery, and finishing of projects from site setup to handover. You’ll ensure all work is completed on time, within budget, with excellent quality, and in compliance with health, safety, and other regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

* Organise, manage, and coordinate site operations, including planning, schedules, subcontractors, and workforce.

* Drive safety and compliance: oversee health & safety protocols, ensure site welfare, environmental controls, quality procedures.

* Monitor cost control, budget tracking, forecasts, risk management.

* Ensure projects stay on programme; proactively manage delays or disruptions.

* Produce regular progress reports and maintain accurate site documentation (e.g. daily logs, quality checks, inspections).

* Liaise with clients, design teams, subcontractors, suppliers, local authorities, and other stakeholders; build strong working relationships.

* Uphold the company’s “Right First Time” quality ethos; manage inspections, snagging and final certification.

Your Profile

* Proven experience as Site Manager on refurbishment and/or new build projects, particularly for public sector/commercial clients.

* Strong leadership skills; able to manage multi-disciplinary teams and subcontractors.

* Excellent organisational and communication skills.

* Strong working knowledge of construction processes, health & safety legislation, quality standards.

* Technical ability to read drawings, specifications and interpret them on site.

* Relevant site management credentials (SMSTS, CSCS Black/Gold Card, etc.).

* A problem-solver; able to anticipate issues and respond swiftly.
