We are currently looking for an Environmental Advisor on a contract basis working on a major Tunnelling project in Tilbury.

Project: Large scale infrastructure project

Contribute to environmental objectives in line with company policies and procedures.
Promote continuous improvement of environmental performance across the project.
Keep up to date with environmental legislation and best practices.
Draft/review environmental documentation (Environmental Management Plans, Waste Management Plans, etc.).
Support briefings and communications so employees and subcontractors understand and apply environmental plans.
Assist with on-site compliance monitoring and documentation per standards and technical requirements.
Prepare environmental and sustainability reports for senior management; support audits and investigations.
Advise on environmental requirements and best practice; champion innovation and continuous improvement.
Help develop measurement systems (e.g., SmartWaste, internal trackers) and support incident investigations.
Promote customer requirements; take ownership of assigned work; ensure safe working practices; conduct site audits/inspections, toolbox talks, and ad-hoc environmental training.

Requirements

Degree or Master's (Civil, Environmental, or related disciplines considered).
Right to work in the UK.
Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, commercial awareness, and MS Office proficiency.
Proactive, resilient, results-driven; able to work independently and under pressure to meet deadlines; a proven team player.
Desirable: IEMA (or similar) membership; knowledge of environmental and H&S legislation; CSCS card; prior environmental experience.
Willing to commute or relocate to Tilbury.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, ~40 hours/week
