H&S Manager – Silvertown
Job Title: Health & Safety Manager – Building Services
Location: London + Surrounding Areas
Salary: Competitive + Travel Allowance + Package
25 Days Annual Leave
We’re working with a leading national M&E contractor to find an experienced Health & Safety Manager to support project delivery across multiple high-profile sites in London and the South East. This is a key role within a well-established HSEQ team, offering the opportunity to influence safety culture across a wide portfolio of technically complex building services projects.
The Role
You’ll be responsible for driving health & safety standards across a mix of live sites — working with project managers, site teams, and subcontractors to ensure compliance, reduce risk, and embed a proactive, no-compromise approach to safety.
This is not a clipboard job — it’s about building relationships on site, offering practical guidance, and becoming a trusted point of contact for all things H&S.
Key Responsibilities
Carrying out site inspections and audits across multiple M&E projects
Supporting and advising project teams on best practice and compliance
Reviewing RAMS, CPPs, and supporting pre-construction planning
Leading incident investigations and implementing corrective actions
Delivering toolbox talks, inductions, and briefings as required
Engaging with clients and external stakeholders on H&S matters
Contributing to continuous improvement across the wider HSEQ strategy
What We’re Looking For
Strong background in health & safety within construction, ideally M&E or building services
NEBOSH Construction Certificate (minimum); TechIOSH or working towards
Experience working across multiple live sites, with the ability to prioritise and self-manage
Confident communicator who can influence behaviours at all levels — from operatives to directors
Familiarity with ISO standards and CDM regulations
Practical, common-sense approach with a genuine focus on solutions and prevention
Why Apply?
This is a business that takes safety seriously — not just in policy, but in culture. You’ll be given real responsibility, backed by an experienced SHEQ team, and encouraged to make a visible impact across major projects. They invest in people, promote internally, and offer a clear path for progression into senior HSEQ leadership roles.
