Shift Engineer
Role Summary
Working within a 24/7 shift rota, your key duties will include:

Performing both planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across core building services systems
*
Diagnosing and rectifying issues with electrical and/or mechanical plant, including:
– HVAC systems, pumps, motors, AHUs, FCUs, fans
– Power distribution, lighting, control panels, and BMS interfaces
*
Ensuring all statutory compliance records, reports, and logbooks are completed accurately and up to date
*
Responding efficiently to urgent faults or system failures during shifts
*
Collaborating with a multi-skilled engineering team to deliver safe and reliable building operations
Requirements
*
NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical or Mechanical engineering (City & Guilds, BTEC, etc.)
*
18th Edition (if electrically biased)
*
Previous experience in commercial building maintenance, preferably within large or high-profile properties
*
Confident working with both electrical and mechanical plant in a building services context
*
Strong technical troubleshooting skills, with a collaborative and safety-conscious approach
Desirable (Not Essential)
*
BMS experience or basic controls knowledge
*
Multi-skilled background (e.g. electrical engineers with mechanical awareness, or vice versa)

£45,000 – £53,500 base salary (depending on experience)
*
Continental shift pattern: 2 days, 2 nights, 4 off

25 days annual leave + bank holidays
