Site Engineer

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Engineer to join a major highways and earthworks scheme based in Dunstable. The project is entering a critical phase and requires a strong engineer with a solid background in delivering large-scale infrastructure and groundworks packages.

Key Responsibilities:

Setting out and surveying for highways and bulk earthworks packages

*

Monitoring subcontractor performance and ensuring works are completed to specification

*

Ensuring health, safety, and environmental standards are met on site

*

Keeping accurate site records, site diaries, and as-built drawings

*

Liaising with site management, design teams, and client representatives

*

Quality assurance and compliance with technical drawings and specifications

Requirements:

*

Proven experience as a Site Engineer on highways or large earthworks projects

*

Degree or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering or related field

*

Proficient with GPS and surveying equipment (Trimble, Leica, etc.)

*

Valid CSCS card and right to work in the UK

*

SMSTS or SSSTS desirable but not essential

*

Able to work independently and manage engineering responsibilities on site
