Salary: £45,000 – £55,000 + benefits
Our client is a specialist in healthcare construction and modular building solutions, delivering cutting-edge projects that embrace modern methods of construction to drive social, economic, and environmental benefits. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Building Services Manager to join their team.
The Role
As Building Services Manager, you will report to the Project Manager or Project Lead, taking ownership of the management, planning, and delivery of MEP services across healthcare construction projects. Working closely with site-based building services managers, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring project success while maintaining strong client relationships and delivering to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the management and coordination of MEP services across construction projects.
* Act as the main point of contact for clients and their professional teams on MEP systems.
* Provide leadership to site teams, ensuring the right skills, culture, and morale.
* Oversee project management systems to ensure efficiency, quality, and consistency.
* Support social value initiatives where appropriate.
* Drive adoption of digital tools including 4P, R-Drive, Multivista, M-Site, and Asta Power Project.
* Attend and contribute to progress, strategy, design, and client meetings.
* Manage relationships with suppliers and subcontractors, negotiating favourable terms.
* Conduct quality reviews, cost reviews, and progress reporting.
* Support design reviews, value engineering, and technical compliance.
* Undertake site visits, surveys, and inspections (including overnight stays where required).
About You
* Proven experience as a Building Services Manager within construction, ideally in the healthcare or modular sectors.
* Strong technical knowledge of MEP systems and project delivery.
* Excellent client-facing and communication skills.
* Ability to lead and inspire teams, maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
* Competence in project management systems and digital tools.
* Commercially astute with experience in supplier and subcontractor negotiations.
* Flexible to travel and stay away from home when project needs demand.
