Job Description
Our Client is seeking an experienced Health & Safety Officer to join their team in Newport. You will coordinate, support, and advise on all aspects of Health and Safety, ensuring compliance and maintaining high standards across the business.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement safety policies and procedures

*

Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments

*

Deliver comprehensive Health & Safety training to employees

*

Investigate and report incidents and accidents

*

Collaborate with department heads to maintain a safe working environment

Schedule

*

40 hours per week

*

Monday to Friday, shifts between 08:00–17:30

Requirements

*

Minimum 3 years’ experience in Health & Safety management

*

NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent)

*

NEBOSH National Fire Certificate in Fire Safety & Fire Safety Management

*

COSHH trained

*

Experience implementing and monitoring Fire Risk Assessments

*

Skilled in advising managers, handling investigations, and delivering training

*

Strong knowledge of H&S policies, procedures, and legislation
