About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Domestic Gas Auditor to join a leading Facilities Management provider in Edinburgh. This is a critical role ensuring gas engineers and subcontractors deliver safe, compliant, and high-quality work across domestic housing and property contracts.
The successful candidate will have a strong domestic gas background, a sharp eye for compliance, and the ability to build effective working relationships with engineers, clients, and senior management.
Key Responsibilities

Conduct audits of domestic gas works (installations, servicing, and repairs) to ensure compliance with Gas Safe and company standards.
*
Monitor and assess quality of workmanship, documentation, and safety practices.
*
Identify non-compliance issues and provide clear feedback, corrective actions, and follow-up checks.
*
Support training and development of engineers to maintain high compliance levels.
*
Prepare accurate audit reports and present findings to management and clients.
*
Liaise with contract managers, supervisors, and clients to ensure statutory compliance and continuous improvement.
*
Assist in ensuring health & safety policies are fully implemented across all works.
Skills & Experience Required
*
Extensive experience as a Domestic Gas Engineer, with strong knowledge of Gas Safe standards and UK regulations.
*
Recognised domestic gas qualifications (CCN1, CENWAT, CKR1, HTR1, CPA1, Unvented G3).
*
Previous experience in auditing, supervising, or quality control highly desirable.
*
Strong communication skills and ability to deliver constructive feedback.
*
Excellent attention to detail with a compliance-first mindset.
*
Confident in report writing and record keeping.
