Senior Technical Services Manager – Office Fit Out
The Shore Group have been appointed on behalf of an established £150 Million + Office Fit Out Main Contractor who are seeking to appoint a Senior Technical Services Manager.
As Senior Technical Services Manager, you will take full ownership of all building services across high-end commercial fit-out projects. Acting as the central conduit between design and delivery, you will ensure that all mechanical, electrical, IT, AV and security systems are value-engineered (where necessary), technically robust, and seamlessly integrated — from early-stage concept design through to commissioning and client handover.
You will play a pivotal role in upholding technical excellence across all phases of project delivery, ensuring best-in-class standards while working closely with internal teams, clients, consultants, and specialist subcontractors.
This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced technical services professional to join a highly regarded organisation known for its clear career progression, supportive working environment, and strong culture of recognising and rewarding excellence.
Due the nature of the role, this person will ideally closely match the following:
* Proven experience with a reputable traditional fit-out contractor, or alternatively within a top-tier main contractor’s commercial fit-out division. Candidates from subcontracting backgrounds will also be highly considered, provided they have demonstrable experience delivering high-quality commercial fit-out projects.
* Currently operating in a Technical Services, M&E, or Building Services role, with hands-on responsibility for design, coordination, or delivery.
* Practical experience supporting pre-construction activities, including feasibility studies, cost planning, and technical due diligence.
* Strong technical understanding of both Mechanical and Electrical building services, with the ability to oversee complex systems across multiple projects.
* Experience contributing to both pitching and tender processes, including cost estimation, value engineering, and technical input.
* Demonstrated expertise in managing the design, coordination, and installation of a broad range of M&E systems within high-end commercial fit-out environments.
* Exceptional ability to read, interpret, and interrogate complex M&E drawings, specifications, and documentation.
* Skilled at liaising effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring alignment between design, delivery teams, and clients.
* Relevant qualifications in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Building Services, or a closely related construction discipline are highly desirable.
* Thorough understanding of UK Building Regulations and applicable industry standards
