HV/MV Commissioning Engineers

Location: Newport, Wales
Start Date: Late 2025
Duration: Long-term project

We are looking for skilled HV/MV Commissioning Engineers to support testing and energisation on a major project in Newport. This is a long-term role starting late 2025.

Key Responsibilities:

Commission and test HV and MV systems, including switchgear, transformers, and protection systems

Perform HV/MV-specific testing (VLF, relay, pressure testing etc.)

Oversee safe isolation, switching operations, and energisation procedures

Ensure compliance with safety regulations, design standards, and operational guidelines

Provide technical support, reports, and system handover documentation

Requirements:

Demonstrable experience in HV/MV commissioning and testing

Authorisation/competence to operate HV/MV systems

Strong knowledge of safety procedures and switching protocols

Relevant electrical/engineering qualifications and certifications
