Senior Design Manager

I am recruiting for an experienced Senior Design Manager to join a leading main contractor on projects across the West Midlands. This is a permanent opportunity to work on large scale construction schemes, offering a salary of £80,000 to £90,000 plus package, with excellent career progression available.

Responsibilities include:
• Managing the full design process from tender through to delivery
• Leading design consultants, sub-consultants and subcontractors to ensure accurate and timely design information
• Managing and mentoring Design Coordinators across live projects
• Chairing and minuting design meetings, ensuring clear actions are followed up
• Reviewing Employers’ Requirements and Contractor Proposals for compatibility
• Working closely with project teams to deliver high quality results

Requirements:
• Degree in a construction related discipline (or equivalent experience)
• Minimum of six years’ experience in the construction industry
• Strong track record managing design on major projects
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Ability to mentor and coordinate multidisciplinary teams
