Quantity Surveyor – Contract Role (North West London)

We're looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join a specialist subcontractor on a project in North West London. This is a client-facing contract role where you'll take responsibility for managing the commercial side of the works under NEC.

Key Responsibilities:

Take full commercial ownership of allocated packages under NEC Option A contract conditions.

Act as the primary commercial interface with the client, attending progress meetings, presenting cost reports, and managing key stakeholder relationships.

Prepare, submit, and agree interim applications for payment, variations, and final accounts.

Lead change management and compensation event processes in line with NEC requirements.

Manage subcontractor accounts, including procurement, negotiation, and administration.

Provide detailed cost reporting and forecasting to ensure financial control and project performance.

Identify, assess, and mitigate commercial and contractual risks.

Maintain accurate project records and ensure full compliance with contractual obligations.

Requirements:

Proven experience working as a Quantity Surveyor within civil engineering or infrastructure.

Strong knowledge and practical experience with NEC Option A contracts (essential).

Demonstrable experience in client-facing roles – confident in leading meetings, reporting, and managing commercial discussions.

Track record of managing subcontractor accounts and change processes.

Excellent commercial acumen, communication skills, and attention to detail.

Day Rate: £350 – £450 per day (depending on experience)
