Job Specification – Smoke Ventilation Designer (Contract)

Role: Smoke Ventilation Designer
Contract Length: 6 months (with strong likelihood of extension)
Location: Fully remote
Start Date: Immediate – interview slots available Wednesday 1st October
Rate: £25ph (negotiable for the right candidate)

Key Responsibilities:

Design and delivery of smoke ventilation systems for live projects.

Perform fan sizing and pressure drop calculations.

Produce accurate working drawings in AutoCAD.

Prepare and manage technical submittals.

Carry out compliance checks against relevant regulations and standards.

Liaise with internal teams to ensure project delivery within agreed timescales.

Requirements:

Strong experience in smoke ventilation design.

Proficient in AutoCAD (own licence preferred)

Proven ability to produce working drawings and technical documentation.

Up-to-date knowledge of compliance standards and building regulations.

Able to work independently on a remote basis.
