The successful Mechanical Estimator will be:
Reviewing and analysing tender documents, raising requests for information (RFIs) with clients where required.
Interpreting specifications, drawings, design briefs, and scopes of work.
Managing supply chain correspondence and enquiries.
Carrying out take-offs in line with standard estimating conventions.
Vetting offers from the supply chain to ensure the most viable proposals are included in submissions.
Conducting site surveys and attending tender review meetings with clients,
Ensuring timely and accurate submissions of tenders.
Supporting smooth project handovers to the operations team.To be successful as the Mechanical Estimator, you must have:
Proven experience in a similar role with a mechanical contractor (air conditioning preferred).
Strong ability to estimate costs and timescales accurately while meeting deadlines.
Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
Be based within a commutable distance of Thurrock, Essex.Mechanical Estimator will be on a basic salary of up to £70,000, depending on experience + Career Progression + Standard Holidays + Bank Holidays + Pension + Free Parking.
