The Opportunity
Hill McGlynn is currently representing a reputable and well-established construction contractor based in Central London, who are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Bid Co-Ordinator to join their pre-construction team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for the construction industry and a keen interest in bid and tender processes to develop their career in a supportive and dynamic environment.
Role Overview
As an Assistant Bid Co-Ordinator, you will support the preparation and delivery of high-quality bid submissions. Working closely with the Bid Manager and wider pre-construction team, your role will involve coordinating documents, assisting with tender presentations, and ensuring deadlines are consistently met.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in the coordination and compilation of tender submissions and pre-qualification questionnaires (PQQs)
* Liaise with internal departments, subcontractors, and consultants to gather required information
* Format and proofread written content to ensure accuracy and consistency
* Manage bid documentation, folders, and version control
* Support the production of marketing and presentation materials for bids
* Track and monitor bid progress against deadlines and ensure timely submissions
* Maintain bid library and up-to-date company project information
Key Requirements:
* Previous experience in a bid support or administrative role within construction, architecture, or engineering sectors
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks to tight deadlines
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* High attention to detail and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
* A proactive and enthusiastic approach to working in a team environment
* Desirable: Experience using Adobe InDesign or similar publishing tools
