Fire Door Remediation & Projects Manager

Location: Office-based in South Yorksire with UK-wide travel

Salary: £50,000-£55,000 + Package

️ About the Role

We're seeking a versatile and experienced Projects Manager to lead fire door remediation and retrofit works across a growing portfolio of commercial and public sector sites. You'll oversee multiple concurrent projects-ranging from supermarkets to schools and healthcare facilities-with values up to £4M. This is a hands-on, dynamic role for someone who thrives in both office and site environments.

Key Responsibilities

Remediate and retrofit fire doors and partitions, including correction of poor installations

Ensure compliance with fire safety standards and remediation accreditations

Liaise with office teams and external partners including 

Oversee 4-5 live projects across the UK

Manage subcontractors and site teams to deliver high-quality building works

Maintain strong communication with clients and stakeholders

Ensure all works meet SMSTS and fire asset accreditation standards

Contribute to other general building projects as needed

What We're Looking For

Proven experience in fire door remediation and passive fire protection

SMSTS certified

Accredited under fire door remediation schemes

Strong project management skills with ability to juggle multiple sites

Comfortable working across sectors: retail, education, healthcare

Excellent communicator with ability to coordinate between office and field

Recognized within the fire safety or passive fire industry is a plus

All-rounder with a proactive, solutions-driven mindset
