The Role
Our client is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Estimator to join their growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong background in estimating within the construction or contracting sectors. The successful candidate will play a key role in preparing accurate cost estimates, supporting tenders, and working closely with project managers and stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

* Prepare and manage cost estimates, tenders, and quotations.

* Analyse drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare accurate take-offs and pricing.

* Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations.

* Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to develop cost-effective solutions.

* Assist in value engineering and risk analysis activities.

* Maintain strong knowledge of market conditions, costs, and industry trends.

* Ensure all estimating activities align with QHSE standards and company values.

Requirements

* Proven experience as an Estimator within the construction/contracting industry.

* Strong numerical and analytical skills with high attention to detail.

* Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.

* Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

* Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

* Strong organisational and time management skills.
