Site Manager
The role & about the client:
On behalf of our client, ITS Construction Professionals South are recruiting for a Site Manager to join a reputable fast past main contractor based in Portsmouth with ongoing work.
Key Responsibilities:
Overseeing and managing construction project
Leading a team and ensuring high quality project delivery
Ensuring health and safety regulations are followed on site
Ensure all works are carried out in accordance and by company HSE policies.
Conduct regular site inspections, toolbox talks and risk assessments
To be efficient with logging and recording the project progress
Ensure works are delivered to the required specifications and standards
Implement and monitor quality control procedures
Maintain accurate records for inspections, snagging and handover
Coordinate and supervise all subcontractors and direct labour
Ensure clear scope of work and sequencing is understood by everyone
Oversee material deliveries, ensuring timing, quality and quantity are correct
Report and record progress and issues to the Project Manager or Contract Manager
Maintain site records and ensure compliance with document control procedures
Be the lead point of contact for all site operations The ideal candidate will have/be:
Proven experience as a Site Manager
Proven experience working with a Tier 1 contractor
Able to easily use technology
Experience using FieldView
Strong knowledge of construction process, safety procedures and relevant regulations
To be hands on and working on site
Ability to problem solve and manage multiple tasks
Strong quality assurance
Hands on experience
