About Us
My client are a growing main contractor delivering high-quality construction projects across London and the South East. Our portfolio spans residential, commercial, education, and mixed-use developments – with values ranging from £5m to £100m+. Due to continued growth and project wins, they are now seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic commercial team.
The Role
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in the financial management of projects from pre-construction through to final account. Working closely with project managers, site teams, subcontractors, and clients, you’ll ensure value is maximised and costs are effectively controlled.
Key Responsibilities

Manage the commercial aspects of multiple projects (typically £15m–£70m)
*
Prepare tender and contract documentation
*
Carry out monthly valuations and applications for payment
*
Monitor project costs, variations, and forecasts
*
Procure and manage subcontractors and suppliers
*
Lead on cost reporting and final accounts
*
Ensure compliance with contractual obligations
*
Attend site meetings and liaise with stakeholders
Requirements
*
Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in a Quantity Surveying role, ideally with a main contractor
*
Strong understanding of JCT and/or NEC contracts
*
Proven ability to manage commercial processes independently
*
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
*
Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or related discipline
*
Ambitious, detail-focused, and commercially astute
