Job Title: Finance Administrator – Plant & Cost Control

Balfour Beatty is seeking a detail-oriented Finance Administrator to join our team at the Water Orton site. This role is pivotal in ensuring accurate financial processing and supporting the overall delivery of our projects.

Your Responsibilities:

Carry out administrative processes to a high standard with strong attention to detail, particularly relating to cost control.

*

Proactively book goods receipts accurately against relevant task codes in a timely manner, aiming to increase STP % and meet Fair Payment Code (FPC) requirements.

*

Work closely with other members of the finance team to support the overall delivery of the project.

*

Input GRN, plant timesheet, and on/off hire data into R12, ensuring all documents are signed manually or digitally by an authorised person prior to input.

*

Match invoices to relevant accruals as and when required, e.g., if STP has failed.

*

Manage, record, and resolve invoice queries accurately and promptly.

*

Maintain up-to-date process documentation, sharing best practice and training with team members.

*

Drive compliance and standardisation across the entire ‘Plant’ process for the JV.

*

Produce reports to inform stakeholders of progress.

*

Perform other ad hoc duties as required to support the finance function.

Your Profile:

*

Experience in finance administration, cost control, or accounts processing, ideally in construction or plant operations.

*

Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial data entry and reporting.

*

Proficient with finance systems (experience with R12 or similar systems advantageous).

*

Excellent organisational and time management skills.

*

Strong communication and teamwork skills.

*

Ability to work independently while supporting the wider finance team.
