Senior Quantity Surveyor
A well-established property consultancy is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their growing residential team based in Birmingham. This is a fantastic opportunity for a client-facing Senior Quantity Surveyor who wants to take the next step in their career within a dynamic and commercially focused environment.
The Senior Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for delivering a range of cost consultancy services across residential schemes, ensuring high-quality outputs while working to tight deadlines. Projects may include new-build developments, regeneration works, and mixed-use schemes, offering long-term variety and progression opportunities.
The Senior Quantity Surveyor
The ideal Senior Quantity Surveyor will be MRICS or FRICS qualified and possess experience working in a consultancy environment, with strong technical knowledge of residential construction and cost planning. Experience with valuation software such as KEL and Argus Developer is preferred, but training can be provided for the right candidate.
Senior Quantity Surveyor applicants must be confident in applying the RICS 'Red Book' and demonstrate a high standard of report writing, data management, and client-facing communication. A proactive, commercial approach to problem-solving and decision-making is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver pre- and post-contract quantity surveying services
Prepare cost plans, estimates, and tender documentation
Manage valuations, interim payments, and final accounts
Provide commercially sound advice to clients throughout the project lifecycle
Maintain a keen awareness of market trends and economic indicatorsRequirements:
MRICS or FRICS Qualified
RICS Registered Valuer
Strong knowledge of the RICS 'Red Book'
Proficient in Microsoft Office 365
Ideally experienced with KEL and Argus Developer (training available)
Ability to manage multiple projects with accuracy and efficiency
High-quality report writing and client presentation skills
