General Foreman
We are actively seeking a dedicated and experienced General Foreman to lead the safe and efficient execution of civil engineering projects. The ideal candidate will possess proven leadership skills, a focus on health and safety, and strong technical expertise in earthworks and reinforced concrete (RC) structures.

Responsibilities
As a General Foreman, your key duties will include:
* Managing labour, plant, and materials to meet programme schedules, cost constraints, and quality objectives.
* Overseeing site health and safety, ensuring Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) are in place and strictly adhered to.
* Supervising the direct workforce and subcontractors, particularly on projects involving earthworks and RC structures.
* Reading and interpreting drawings, planning works effectively, and maintaining accurate site records.
* Holding daily briefings with team members and maintaining ongoing communication with project teams and clients.
Qualifications
Essential:
* A proven track record of success in civil engineering and earthworks.
* Strong leadership abilities, coupled with in-depth knowledge of health and safety practices (e.g., certification in SMSTS or SSSTS, and First Aid training).
* Competent IT skills for record-keeping and communication.
* A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel as required.
Desirable:
* Experience working on substation projects or in the energy sector.
* Certification in HSG47 Service Avoidance, or a willingness to obtain this qualification.
