Contract Project Manager – Civil Engineering

Location: Elland, Yorkshire (near the M62)
Contract Length: Until Christmas (potential extension)
Hours: 10-hour days

The Role

We’re seeking an experienced Project Manager to join a civils project based in Elland, Yorkshire. The role will initially run until Christmas, with the strong possibility of extension onto further projects.

You will be working alongside the Site Agent, managing subcontractors and ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, and to specification. The project involves working in close proximity to rail and National Highways assets, with key activities including:

Deep drainage and associated civils (culvert relining, excavation, manhole boxes, lining materials)

*

Temporary works planning and oversight (including lift plans)

*

Coordination of motorway closures (one weekend planned)

*

Management of subcontractor teams and ensuring compliance with HSEQ standards

Requirements

Gold CSCS Card

*

SMSTS

*

Temporary Works ticket (preferred)

*

Strong background in deep drainage within rail, highways, or similar major infrastructure sectors

*

Experience working with water industry projects is desirable (opportunity to transfer to further projects)

*

Proven ability to coordinate complex works in live environments
