Civil Engineer

We are working exclusively with a highly regarded Project Director to recruit a driven and ambitious Civil Engineer / Utilities Coordinator for a flagship residential development in the Midlands. This is a key, autonomous role within a nationally recognised housebuilder known for quality and innovation.

Candidates may come from consultancy, a housebuilder, or a utilities contractor background, and should bring 5+ years’ experience in residential development.

In addition, we are supporting the Midlands division in hiring an Assistant Civil Engineer to strengthen their Technical team. This role is suited to individuals with 3+ years’ experience in either a housebuilder environment or a residential-led engineering consultancy.

Key Responsibilities

Support site appraisals and resolve engineering challenges by developing road and sewer designs in collaboration with approving authorities.

Prepare and coordinate detailed designs for Sections 38 and 104, including external levels and private drainage.

*

Manage the Foundation Design Consultant and deliver the full civil engineering package.

*

Secure approvals and complete agreements for S38, S104, and foundation designs.

*

Address engineering-related planning conditions and resolve technical build issues.

*

Oversee utility designs and diversions, arrange maintenance inspections, and manage bond releases for S38 and S104.

*

Lead design team meetings and coordinate with site teams to ensure smooth delivery.
