Role: Field Team Manager (Utilities – Affinity Water Contract)
Location: Affinity Water Patch
Reports To: Operations Manager / Contract Manager
Role Purpose
The Field Team Manager will be responsible for leading and managing a team of field operatives delivering works on the Affinity Water contract. The role requires strong leadership, excellent organisational skills, and experience in the utilities sector—ideally within water infrastructure. The successful candidate will ensure that all operational, health, safety, quality, and client performance targets are achieved in line with company and client expectations.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and coordinate daily activities of field teams delivering services on the Affinity Water contract.
* Ensure compliance with all Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality (HSEQ) standards.
* Act as the primary point of contact for client representatives, ensuring effective communication and relationship management.
* Monitor and report on performance against contract KPIs, SLAs, and project milestones.
* Provide leadership, mentoring, and performance management to field staff.
* Plan, schedule, and allocate resources to ensure efficient delivery of works.
* Support the mobilisation and delivery of new projects within the contract.
* Investigate and resolve operational issues, escalating where necessary.
* Drive continuous improvement in service delivery and operational efficiency.
* Ensure all operatives have the correct training, certifications, and equipment.
Skills & Experience Required
* Essential
* Proven management experience in a field-based utilities environment (preferably water).
* Strong knowledge of utility construction, maintenance, or repair processes.
* Excellent leadership and people management skills.
* Strong understanding of HSEQ standards and risk management.
* Ability to work under pressure and deliver against tight deadlines.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
* IT literacy, including MS Office and work management systems.
