About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Manager to lead fast-track retail projects, ideally within the hospitality sector.
This role demands a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is comfortable managing multiple sites across the UK. You'll be the driving force behind project delivery, ensuring quality, safety, and cost-efficiency from pre-contract to completion.
️ Key Responsibilities
Resource Management: Collaborate with the Head of Contracts and project team to appoint and oversee site management and labour resources aligned with project needs.
Cost Control: Work closely with the Quantity Surveyor (QS) to monitor and manage labour costs throughout the project lifecycle.
Programme & Reporting: Develop detailed project programmes, prepare site meeting minutes, and produce regular contractor progress reports.
Client Engagement: Participate in client and contract meetings, providing updates and contributing to strategic discussions.
Snagging Oversight: Lead the snagging process by reviewing, managing, and approving completed works with the support team.
Variation Management: Document on-site variations and coordinate with the QS team for cost assessments and appropriate actions.
Health & Safety Leadership: Take ownership of site health and safety from pre-contract through to project handover, ensuring full compliance.
Supplier Coordination: Manage client-appointed suppliers to ensure seamless integration with site operations.
Commercial Awareness: Promote cost-effective practices and commercial awareness among the on-site team.
Site Setup: Work with the supply chain team to ensure a compliant, efficient, and well-organized site environment.
Requirements
Proven experience managing fast-track retail fit-out projects, ideally within the hospitality sector.
Willingness to travel extensively across the UK.
Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
In-depth understanding of construction programmes, cost control, and health & safety regulations.
Ability to foster collaboration across teams and stakeholders.
