Our client is seeking a Senior Document Controller to join their team in a permanent full-time position (no remote working).

Salary: up to £40K pa depending on experience
Hours: 8.30am to 5pm, Monday to Friday

The Senior Document Controller will drive excellence in document and record management across the Engineering team. You will be the strategic lead for all document control activities, ensuring robust governance, compliance, and continuous improvement throughout the asset lifecycle. You’ll be the go-to expert, shaping processes, training teams, and ensuring documentation meets the highest standards.
Senior Document Controller – Key Responsibilities
– Lead the development and implementation of document control policies and systems
– Ensure compliance with internal and external standards and audit requirements
– Manage day-to-day document control operations and systems (DMS and asset management)
– Conduct quality checks and audits, ensuring data integrity and traceability
– Deliver training and support to Engineering staff on document control processes
– Drive process improvements, digitalisation, and automation initiatives
– Produce reports and analytics on compliance, performance, and risks
Senior Document Controller Qualifications and Experience
* HNC qualification or significant document control experience within large infrastructure organisations.
* Strong knowledge of electronic document management systems and asset lifecycle documentation
* Familiarity with ISO55001 and mature asset management practices
* Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and Power Query
* Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving and organisational skills
* A collaborative team player with strong communication and mentoring abilities
* Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle
