We are a leading, nationwide property developer with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality residential projects across the UK. With a growing pipeline of developments in the Oxfordshire region, we are expanding our local team and are seeking a skilled Document Controller to support our operations on-site and in the office.
The Role
As a Document Controller, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth running of our construction projects by managing and maintaining all project-related documentation. You’ll be responsible for ensuring that accurate and up-to-date information is distributed across teams, with a strong emphasis on utilising Fieldview to support our digital field management processes.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage the control of all project documentation, drawings, and records in accordance with company and project procedures
* Maintain and update Fieldview to ensure real-time tracking of quality, safety, and progress on-site
* Liaise with site teams, consultants, subcontractors, and head office to ensure consistent document flow
* Track document approvals and ensure timely distribution of information
* Implement document control procedures and improve digital workflows where possible
* Support project teams with document version control, drawing registers, and audit compliance
* Act as a point of contact for Fieldview support and training within the Oxford division
Requirements
* Proven experience in a Document Controller role within the construction industry
* Strong working knowledge of Fieldview (Viewpoint) is essential
* Familiarity with other document management systems (e.g., Aconex, Asite, 4Projects) is a plus
* Excellent organisational and communication skills
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities across live projects
* High attention to detail and accuracy
* Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
