Works Manager

My client are a national civil engineering business. They are looking to onboard a works manager to help deliver a infrastructure and highway scheme being delivered in Yorkshire. The scope of works you will be responsible for managing will include earthworks, utilities and highway works.

Works manager responsibilities:

* Develop details work plans in line with project deadlines.

* Managing and allocating plant, labour and materials.

* Oversee day to day site operations.

* Ensuring works are carried out in accordance to specification and RAMS.

* Coordinating with the project manager and commercial team.

* Maintain detailed site records.

* Address technical issues on site and provide solutions.

* Managing health and safety.

* Attending progress meetings.

* Liaising with the client, subcontractors and key stakeholders.

Works manager requirements:

* Right to work in the UK.

* NVQ level 3 or equivalent.

* CSCS card.

* SMSTS.

* First aid.

* EUSR 1 & 2.

* Previous experience in works managers role.

* Experience and knowledge or earthworks and or highways.

* Full UK driving licence.
