Assistant Quantity Surveyor / Ductwork

Our client is a growing specialist contractor in ventilation, delivering high-quality HVAC projects across London. With turnover reaching £20m last year and ambitious plans to grow to £25-30m, we’re looking for someone who wants to grow with us.

The Role

We’re seeking an energetic, motivated Quantity Surveyor who’s eager to learn and take ownership. This isn’t a role for someone who wants to wait years to climb the ladder – you’ll be directly involved in running multiple projects, learning how a specialist contracting business operates, and working closely with the board.

What You’ll Be Doing

* Managing and overseeing multiple projects at any one time up to £2m

* Handling cashflow, valuations, chasing payments, and preparing business reports

* Conducting site surveys and liaising with clients

* Supporting the small works division and ensuring commercial success

* Negotiating with main contractors

* Learning every aspect of specialist contracting from the ground up

What We’re Looking For

* A QS with a 2+ experience – ideally in specialist contractin

* Personable, detail-oriented, commercially aware, and driven to succeed

* Happy to get involved in all areas of the business

* Flexible – can join as permanent (£40k–£55k) or freelance/day rate (with travel expenses covered)
