Involve Recruitment are working with one of the UK’s leading multi-disciplined contractors, renowned for delivering high-quality infrastructure services across the water, power, rail, and renewable energy sectors.

With decades of experience delivering complex frameworks in collaboration with both private clients and public agencies, they are highly respected throughout the industry.

Having recently secured a major infrastructure framework in the South Wales region, our client is now looking to expand their planning team and appoint an experienced Planner to support one of the flagship projects within the programme.

Reporting directly to the Planning Manager, you will be responsible for developing and managing the construction schedule for a key project within the framework. This role will see you work closely with the site delivery team, providing planning support from early-stage development through to final handover.

Key Responsibilities

* Develop and maintain detailed construction programmes using Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project

* Work collaboratively with site teams, project managers, and engineers to ensure accurate planning and sequencing of works

* Monitor progress and update schedules to reflect actual site performance

* Support planning input for reporting, risk management, and forecasting

* Assist in the implementation of earned value management and change control processes

* Ensure planning activities are aligned with NEC contract requirements

Candidate Requirements

* Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Planner, or in a Site Engineer, Agent, or Senior Engineer role with hands-on experience producing construction schedules in P6

* Proficiency in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project

* Familiarity with earned value management, NEC contracts, and change management processes

* Strong analytical and communication skills

* Experience in the water, energy, or civil engineering sectors is highly desirable
