Chartered Building Surveyor, Cheltenham

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Building Surveyor to join our client, an established multi-discipline consultancy in Cheltenham. This is an excellent opportunity to work on both national and local commissions across a diverse range of sectors, including public buildings and estates, residential & housing, retail, healthcare and commercial.

The projects you will be involved with will vary in scale and complexity from small refurbishment schemes to large developments exceeding £30 million.

Key responsibilities

Delivering client management and contract administration services
Carrying out building and condition surveys, defect analysis, and preparing dilapidation schedules
Advising on design, construction, maintenance, refurbishment, and compliance with building regulations
Preparing specifications, tenders, maintenance programmes, and administering contracts
Managing Party Wall matters, insurance claims, and remedial works
Leading and coordinating projects, involving in-house multi-disciplinary teams
Supervising, mentoring, and supporting junior surveyors within the team
Undertaking technical reviews to maintain service qualitySkills & experience required:

MRICS qualified with demonstrable consultancy experience
Strong technical knowledge across all aspects of building surveying
Proven ability to lead projects and manage teams effectively
Excellent communication and client-facing skills
Strong analytical, written, and reporting abilitiesWhat we offer:
