Job Title: Design Manager
Location: North London
Salary: £60,000 – £65,000 + car, bonus and benefits

What You’ll Be Doing

* Leading the design process across pre-construction and construction phases.

* Driving collaboration with consultants and subcontractors in design meetings and workshops.

* Coordinating submissions for planning, building control, and sustainability (including BREEAM).

* Reviewing technical details and spotting opportunities for value engineering.

* Providing expert design and technical support to project teams.

* Inspiring, mentoring, and developing junior colleagues.

What We’re Looking For

* A strong background in engineering or architecture.

* Proven experience as a Design Manager or managing design teams on construction projects.

* Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.

* A confident communicator who can build relationships at all levels.

* Commercially aware, organised, and able to perform under pressure.

* Proficient in Microsoft Office with strong IT skills.
