Assistant Quantity Surveyor

Our client is one of the UK’s leading privately-owned housebuilders, renowned for delivering high-quality new homes across England and Scotland. They are looking to appoint an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their established Commercial team, supporting Senior Surveyors across multiple sites in Buckinghamshire.

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience and develop your skills by working closely with both the Commercial Manager and senior members of the team, contributing to the successful delivery of key projects and the ongoing growth of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

* Assist in preparing tender documentation, managing return deadlines, and compiling comparative analysis of submissions.

* Support sub-contract payment processes and final account agreements, ensuring sign-off from relevant sub-contractors.

* Help draft sub-contract orders in accordance with Group Commercial Policy and obtain necessary approvals.

* Conduct on-site measurements and support the valuation of contractor works and payments.

* Prepare costings for customer extras and liaise with the Sales team as required.

* Assist the Commercial Manager in preparing material take-offs for land appraisals when needed.
