Assistant Project Manager / Project Manager – Renewable Energy

Location: Plymouth
Salary: £28,000 – £40,000 DOE (Depending On Experience) + PAckage

A specialist Solar PV installation and consultancy firm operating across commercial, industrial, and residential sectors. They work on medium and large-scale installations, providing energy solutions that help clients reduce operating costs, meet sustainability goals, and move toward energy independence.

Role Overview

We are seeking a motivated Assistant Project Manager / Project Manager to join the team. You will handle contracts and projects ensuring they’re completed efficiently and to high standards. You will support all stages from planning through to handover and ensure strong communication across teams, customers, and suppliers.

Key Responsibilities

* Oversee and deliver projects and contracts and ensuring objectives are met

* Monitor budgets & expenses to keep material costs within forecasts

* Maintain clear communication with internal teams for workflow efficiency

* Work with other people in the business to assist with design, install, test, fault-find and rectify Solar PV across commercial & domestic applications

* Conduct solar PV troubleshooting and repairs

* Liaise with customers, suppliers, and site trades to coordinate design, cabling, and product delivery

* HSE meetings, risk assessments, and safety documentation

Candidate Requirements

* Strong contractual understanding, ability to manage budgets & forecasts

* Excellent communication skills with customers, suppliers, and site teams

* Strong health & safety awareness; familiar with risk assessments, HSE procedures

* Proactive, organized, and able to manage multiple project streams
