Hoist Driver
A Hoist Driver is responsible for operating and managing industrial lifting equipment to ensure safe and efficient transport of materials or personnel. Their duties include:

Inspecting equipment for malfunctions and ensuring it is in good working order.

Loading and unloading materials using equipment and machines such as trucks, cars, and hand trucks.

Operating compressed air, diesel, electric, gasoline, or steam-driven hoists or winches to control movement of cableways, cages, derricks, draglines, loaders, railcars, or skips.

Monitoring equipment gauges and indicators to verify load positions and/or depths.
*
Climbing ladders to position and set up vehicle-mounted derricks.
*
Maintaining and repairing hoists or winches, using hand tools.
*
Attaching, fastening, and disconnecting cables or lines to loads, materials, and equipment.
*
Reporting any defects or issues to a supervisor or maintenance team.
A Hoist Driver should have a strong understanding of hoisting techniques and safety standards, as well as the physical stamina to carry out the demands of the job. They may also be required to assist with other tasks on the job site, depending on the specific requirements of the project
