Company Overview:
Our client is a well-established MEP contractor with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality projects across the residential sector. With an annual turnover exceeding £100 million, they work alongside leading main contractors including McLaren, Bouygues, Berkeley and more. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Mechanical Supervisor to join their team on a major residential scheme based in Surrey Quays.

Role Overview:
As a Mechanical Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day installation of mechanical services on site, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time and to the required quality standards. You will report directly to the Mechanical Site Manager and play a key role in coordinating operatives, subcontractors and ensuring compliance with project specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise mechanical installation works including pipework, plant rooms, heating, ventilation, and public health systems.

Manage and coordinate subcontractors and direct labour on site.

*

Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with drawings, specifications, and industry standards.

Monitor progress, report issues, and support the Mechanical Site Manager with daily/weekly reporting.

*

Ensure compliance with health & safety policies, carrying out toolbox talks and site inspections as required.

*

Work closely with other site supervisors and project stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery of works.

*

Assist with quality checks, snagging and handover procedures.

Requirements:

*

Proven experience as a Mechanical Supervisor on large-scale residential or mixed-use projects.

*

Strong knowledge of mechanical building services installations.

*

Ability to manage and coordinate subcontractors effectively.

*

Excellent communication and organisational skills.

*

Relevant qualifications in Mechanical Engineering / Building Services (desirable).

*

SSSTS / SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid certifications preferred.
