Mechanical Design Engineer

The Opportunity
We’re looking for a Intermediate Mechanical Design Engineer to join our experienced team in Manchester, working on diverse projects across education, commercial, retail, leisure, and more. You’ll design, install, and maintain building services that bring buildings to life.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver detailed design as part of a project team.

*

Liaise with architects, engineers, contractors, and clients.

*

Attend project and technical meetings.

*

Ensure designs meet legislative and H&S standards.

*

Advise on energy efficiency, sustainability, and carbon reduction.

*

Produce CAD/BIM (Revit) designs and condition surveys.

*

Oversee installation and specify maintenance procedures.

Skills & Experience

*

Degree (or equivalent) in Building Services/Mechanical Engineering.

*

Significant experience in a similar role; ideally working towards Chartered Engineer status.

*

Strong communication and organisational skills.

*

Proficiency in IES, Hevacomp, AutoCAD, Revit (preferred).

*
