Site Engineer

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Engineer to join a leading civil engineering contractor on a major highways project in Gloucester. This long-term role offers a fantastic opportunity to be part of a high-profile infrastructure scheme, expected to run for at least 18 months.

Key Responsibilities:

Setting out and surveying for all aspects of highways construction

*

Overseeing works including roads, kerbs, and drainage

*

Maintaining accurate records for quality assurance (QA) and quality control (QC)

*

Working closely with the site team and subcontractors to ensure progress and compliance

*

Ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, and to specification

Requirements:

*

Proven experience as a Site Engineer on highways or large infrastructure projects

*

Strong knowledge of setting out and civil engineering construction methods

*

Proficient in using surveying equipment (e.g. GPS, total station)

*

Up-to-date CSCS card

*

SMSTS or SSSTS (desirable but not essential)

Contract Details:

Start: ASAP

*

Duration: 18 months

*

Rate: £370 – £410 per day (outside IR35)

*

Hours: Monday to Friday, standard site hours
