Salary: Circa £50,000 + Company Pick-Up
A leading name in the specialist plant hire sector is seeking an experienced General Manager / Depot Manager to take full responsibility for the day-to-day running of our Leeds operation.
This is a key leadership role, requiring someone who can balance operational control, safety and compliance, people management, and commercial performance.
Key Responsibilities:

Oversee depot operations, ensuring efficiency across logistics and customer service
*
Uphold Health & Safety standards, compliance, and manual handling best practice
*
Manage tachographs, driver hours, and fleet compliance
*
Lead, develop, and support depot staff, handling recruitment, training, and HR issues
*
Monitor budgets and costs, driving commercial performance and profitability
*
Act as the senior point of contact for operational and customer requirements
Essential Skills & Experience:

Strong background in depot, plant hire, or logistics management
*
Excellent knowledge of Health & Safety, compliance, and manual handling regulations
*
Competence in tachograph management and transport legislation
*
Proven HR and team management experience
*
Commercial acumen with the ability to deliver results and growth
