Our client is a reputable residential developer, renowned for building high-quality homes and maintaining strong relationships with their supply chain and stakeholders. With a healthy pipeline of projects across Northamptonshire and surrounding areas, they are now seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their growing commercial team.

Role & Responsibilities

Support the commercial team in managing costs across residential developments.

*

Assist with preparing estimates, budgets, and tender documentation.

*

Help with procurement of subcontractors and suppliers, including contract administration.

*

Monitor costs, variations, and valuations under the guidance of senior QS staff.

*

Work closely with site and project teams to ensure commercial efficiency.

*

Gain exposure to full project lifecycles, with training and mentoring provided.

Requirements

*

Previous experience as a Trainee/Assistant QS, ideally within the housebuilding or residential construction sector.

*

Strong numerical, analytical, and organisational skills.

*

Keen to learn, with a proactive and positive approach.

*

Degree in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent qualification/experience) desirable but not essential.

*

Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a collaborative team.
