The Opportunity
Join a trusted main contractor with over 85 years of experience in delivering high-quality building refurbishment services across London and the South East. Specializing in sectors such as education, residential, social housing, heritage, commercial, public buildings, and healthcare, the company is renowned for its commitment to quality craftsmanship and client satisfaction. 

As a Quantity Surveyor, you'll play a pivotal role in managing the financial aspects of projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with senior leadership, providing a collaborative and supportive environment for professional growth.

About the Role – What You’ll Be Doing
Based in the Bermondsey head office, you'll be responsible for the full commercial management of multiple projects. Your duties will include:

Cost Management: Oversee valuations, variations, and cost control across live projects.
Procurement: Prepare tender packages, negotiate with subcontractors, and place orders.
Contract Administration: Manage subcontractor accounts, applications, and payments.
Commercial Reporting: Produce monthly CVRs, forecasts, and cashflow reports for senior management.
Client Liaison: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and key stakeholders.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with site managers and project teams to ensure projects are delivered within budget and to high-quality standards. About the Company – Where You’ll Be Working

Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor with a main contractor.
Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to manage costs and maximize value.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with confidence in dealing with clients and subcontractors.
A degree or HNC/HND in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or a construction-related field.
A proactive, team-oriented approach and the ambition to progress long term. Rewards:
