Quantity Surveyor – Fire Protection, Façade & Cladding

Role Overview
A leading specialist contractor is seeking an experienced freelance Quantity Surveyor to support ongoing and upcoming works across fire protection, façade, and cladding packages. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing commercial aspects of multiple projects, ensuring cost efficiency, compliance, and timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee cost planning, budgeting, and forecasting for specialist packages
Prepare and manage interim valuations, variations, and final accounts
Negotiate subcontractor agreements and manage procurement processes
Ensure compliance with contract terms (JCT/NEC)
Liaise with site teams, clients, and suppliers to maintain commercial control
Provide regular cost reports and risk assessments to senior managementYour Experience

Proven experience in Quantity Surveying within fire protection, cladding, or façade sectors, shopfitting, retail or FM
Strong understanding of JCT and NEC contract frameworks
Ability to manage multiple packages across live sites
Excellent negotiation and communication skills
Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or equivalent
