CSA QAQC Engineer

Matchtech

Our client is embarking on a major data centre construction project located in Dublin. As you know, data centres are highly specialised and critical infrastructure, so their standards for delivery are absolutely uncompromising.

Our client needs a dedicated, experienced professional to take ownership of quality control and assurance for all Civil, Structural, and Architectural (CSA) elements of this build. This is a full-time, on-site position and is central to the success of the project handover.

The successful candidate will be the linchpin, working alongside the Construction Manager, Project Manager, and the Company's wider site Quality Team.

Key Responsibilities and Deliverables

The main focus will be guaranteeing quality and compliance across the CSA scope. This involves:

Setting the Standard: Developing and strictly maintaining all project-specific Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) documentation and procedures for CSA works.

Verification and Approval: Thoroughly reviewing and signing off on all quality-related documentation from their subcontractors, including their method statements and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs).

Site Surveillance: Conducting regular site inspections and audits to make sure work is compliant with the specifications, drawings, and all relevant regulatory standards.

Enforcement: Issuing Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) immediately when standards are not met, and proactively supporting the CSA team to identify and implement the necessary corrective actions.

Documentation Management: Maintaining a meticulous, auditable record of all quality checks, inspections, tests, and material certifications.

Collaboration: Working closely with the design teams, the Project's engineers, and all subcontractors to ensure quality issues are resolved quickly and efficiently.

Final Handover: Playing a critical role in the close-out phase, making sure the complete quality dossier, O&M manuals, and all final QA/QC documentation are prepared accurately and on time for the end client.

Culture: Fostering a robust culture of quality, health, and safety awareness across all trade contractors.

Our Client's Expectations (Skills and Experience)

The Company requires a candidate who meets the following criteria:

Technical Knowledge: A strong, practical understanding of CSA construction methods, relevant standards, and all regulatory requirements.

Process Management: Prior experience in both creating and managing QA/QC procedures, ITPs, and inspection cycles.

Soft Skills: Excellent communication, organisational skills, and a proven ability to manage documentation with exceptional attention to detail.

Work Ethic: The ability to be a flexible, effective team player in a high-pace, technical, and deadline-focused environment
