Electrical Engineer

Electrical Engineer – Helsinki
Up to €85,000 DOE + €13,000 Tax Free Subsistence + Flights, Accom, Bills Paid
First Task Professional are presently seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer / Project Engineer to join the business to deliver a 50MW data centre just outside of Helsinki.
The city boasts one of the highest quality of life indices in the world and is a metropolitan hub with significant investment for data centres.
The project is undergoing a rock excavation at present and will run until early 2028 with high likelihood of follow-on projects in the region.
Responsibilities
* Manage, review, and coordinate project drawings
* Provide technical guidance to subcontracted staff
* Allocate and prioritise work for the technical team
* Ensure subcontractor compliance with site/project requirements, including health & safety
* Troubleshoot issues and implement corrective actions
* Manage document control and maintain up-to-date logs
* Prepare handover and test packs for systems
* Oversee compliance and governance, including:
* Enforcing safe working practices for subcontractors
* Identifying and implementing safety improvements
* Maintaining high housekeeping standards
* Completing weekly “don’t walk by” safety cards
Requirements
* Electrical qualification (Master’s/Bachelor’s in Engineering essential; HNC/HND preferred)
* 5+ years’ experience in mechanical/electrical contracting
* Data Centre experience advantageous
* Strong organisational, communication, and time management skills
* Proficient in MS Word & Excel
